CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - As a responsible corporate citizen, Jubilee gives back to the community by supporting social programs aimed at improving the society within which it operates. We do this by partnering with likeminded leading companies in the region, as well as our own internal programs.

Jubilee Children Fund - In commemoration of the seventieth anniversary, the Jubilee Children Fund was launched in 2007. The Fund has a focused approach of alleviating the hardships faced by underprivileged children in the areas of education funding and medical care. The Fund has received tremendous support from company’s employees who have agreed to donate one day’s salary per year towards financing its initiatives. Jubilee turn matches their contribution and, in addition, donates the profits from one day’s operations each year.

Jubilee Insurance Samaritan Award - Jubilee Insurance also upholds exemplary social responsibility through the Jubilee Insurance Samaritan Award.

The Jubilee Insurance Samaritan Award (JISA) was established in 2006. The birth of this initiative sprung from a vision by Jubilee to raise the profile of members of the society passionate about the welfare of those around them. It seeks to reward outstanding deeds carried out by individuals in the humblest of professionals, and to encourage Kenyans to be mindful of the welfare of the less fortunate members of the society.

The JISA Panel is constituted of media professionals in Kenya, who from nature of their work are able to identify the most deserving individuals for the award. The panelists are responsible for running and management of the award program.

The award is given out once every quarter to a deserving member of the society, picked by the JISA panel. Previous JISA winners have included Daniel Kanee for rescuing a 3 year old child from under a matatu, Hannah Wanjiru for returning Kshs 1,000 that she found on her way to school, Tegla Lorupe for running a series of Peace Marathons in Kenya, Charles Mulli for being the founder of a Christian rehabilitation organization that has successfully rehabilitated 1,000 children and Bob Munro for founding a youth sports and community development project in Mathare slums.
